Specifications
We can make sliding and stackable doors that are 3+ metres high and 10+ metres wide because they’re specifically designed for large expanses. As such, there is no real recommended width or height - it is dependant on the site, available access, and overall weight of the doors.
We're experts at creating huge glass panels, so don’t be afraid to GO BIG! This will allow you to achieve stunning results, as well as allowing for minimal aluminium obstructing the view and more of the great outdoors coming into your space.
Shown below are some examples of our most commonly requested configurations. Our designs are diverse, so if your dream configuration isn’t shown please speak with our team - we can actually make up to four panels stacking in each direction.
Our stackable and sliding doors are available in a huge range of Dulux, Interpon powder coat and Colorbond colours, as well as anodised metal. Our Dulux Colour chart, which includes most Colorbond colours, can be downloaded here. We offer the Duralloy range as standard, though we can also offer Precious, Duratec, RapidCure and other colours on request.

There are many handles available for our doors, the options are almost endless!
Most handles come in black or Satin Chrome/Stainless Steel as standard, some come in brass or colour finishes, and most can often be powder coated to match the door framing.

Our most common standard handle is the 480mm straight pull handle, which is also available in an offset design.
Other standard options include 195mm flush pull handles, and the ‘Yarra View’ range which includes an integrated lock setup in the handle.
Our second most common handle is the 450mm ‘Blade’ handle design which is available as a custom upgrade.
It’s good to consider the height and weight of your door when selecting hardware, doors taller than 2700mm look quite nice with a handle at least 600mm long.
We also offer various digital lock options for sliding doors, our team would be happy to discuss options with you.
We can use single or double glazed safety glass in a range of glass options (clear, obscure, tinted and energy efficient). For major renovations and new buildings, an energy report is required. This will indicate the type of glass needed.
In most designs, our sliding glass doors made in Melbourne either use a 2-track, 3-track, or 4-track frame setup. Shown below are a few common sill setups that serve different configurations.
Our door designs can also be made flush with the floor if required. Please note that all Nuline frames have fully tested subsills for correct water drainage - chat to our friendly team today to see what suits your door setup best.

Zero-threshold (upgrade)
Our sliding doors are powered by heavy-duty, bottom-rolling, adjustable, self-aligning ball bearing rollers for smooth, trouble-free operation. What makes these rollers so great is that the wheel holders not only lean against each other, but also allow the rollers to slide against each other and consequently enable uniform distribution of load.
We will select the correct roller for your frame based on its weight and design. As previously mentioned, our custom stacker doors can be enormous, which is why our rollers are designed to carry panels up to 300kg.
For our architectural doors, we work with retractable insect screen systems to create a stylish and elegant solution to keep the bugs out. The retractable design of the screen means the flyscreen remains hidden in its framework, offering an unobstructed view when open. We use several different brands depending on your preference, budget, and door size - Centor, Freedom, Brio, and Breeza.
Our sliding and stackable sliding doors come with a range of warranties:
- Nuline offers back-to-back warranties with all our trusted suppliers. These range in timeframe depending on product type.
- Nuline’s workmanship warranty is 12 months following works.
- Despite these warranty periods, if any product is not functioning in the way it is intended – let us know! We are happy to come out to assess any issues or concerns, arrange service calls, repairs, and general assistance.

These frames are designed with Melbourne’s unique architecture and climate in mind. As such, they allow the freedom to achieve large expansive openings without the need to compromise on weather performance, durability or aesthetics.
Our stacker doors come with a range of options, including flush floor sills and an extensive selection of handles, as we manufacture all our products to measure here in Melbourne, and only use top quality hardware.

When it comes to door configurations, there are so many variations available that we cannot produce the full list here. Sliding door panels are represented as fixed (O) and sliding (X). The most common designs are OX, OXX and OXXO. Get in touch with our team to discuss what configuration would best suit your project.
As a standard, all of our sliding (or stackable sliding) doors are bottom rolling. But on occasion, we can do a top hung sliding door as well. But please note, that top hung sliding doors are quite expensive and can add substantial cost to your project.
