Custom manufacturing our pivot doors in our Melbourne factory allows us to design your door in various configurations – with sidelights, full height entrance to the top of the ceiling or just by itself. We can design the door to open inwards, outwards or in both directions!

In addition to restricting the direction, a plant on doorstop can be used to confine how far the door can swing and which direction it will open. Pivot point placement will depend on the dimensions of the door and is placed in a way so that it can handle and support the weight and function of the door correctly and safely.

Colours

Handles

Typically, a Pull Handle would be used with a pivot door. Pull handles come in varying lengths (range from 300mm right up to 1800mm in length), shapes and colours, allowing you to select the ideal accompaniment to your new door. Consider using an offset pull handle if you are using it with a lock – ensuring you have an attractive finish as well as maximum security.

Glass Types

We have designed and installed a huge range of pivot doors across Melbourne and have found that our clients generally prefer one of two glass types. They either select clear single laminated glass or double-glazed toughened safety glass. These two options are shown below. If you’re building a new home or undertaking a major renovation, an energy rating report will specify the glass type that you will need.
