Custom-made architectural glass pivot doors from Nuline are engineered in-house to create bold, oversized statement entrances.
Statement Entrances
Pivot doors create a striking first impression in your entryway and are a sophisticated alternative to traditional hinged entry doors.
Unlike conventional doors, which are supported by hinges to open or close; pivot doors use a hydraulic pivot pin for support. Available in hold-open or self-closing configurations, our heavy-duty glass pivot systems can easily accommodate a door weight of up to 300kg, all the while ensuring continuous operation. This allows our team to design expansive, oversized entry doors that combine performance with architectural impact.

Specifications
Our pivot doors are custom designed to suit your needs and to enhance the design of your home. Our pivot doors can be standalone panels or part of large frame designs with either one or two sidelight windows.
If you’re unsure which option will best enhance your space, our experienced team can assist you in choosing the ideal configuration for your pivot doors, anywhere in Melbourne.
If you’re hoping to create a door that perfectly complements or ties the space together, you’ll be happy to learn that our pivot doors are available in an extensive colour range. They can be powder coated in a range of Dulux, Colorbond and Interpon colours, allowing you to select the shade that best suits the application.
Our standard range is the Duralloy selection, though we are also happy to use Precious, RapidCure, Duratec or other options on request.

Typically, a pull handle would be used with a pivot door rather than a lever handle design. Pull handles come in varying lengths (ranging from 300mm long right up to full panel height in length), shapes and colours, allowing you to select the ideal accompaniment to your new door.
Our pivot entry doors can be designed to have digital entrance locks, or be setup with electric strikes for existing security setups.
We have designed and installed a huge range of pivot doors across Melbourne and have found that our clients generally prefer one of two glass types. They either select clear single laminated glass or double-glazed toughened safety glass. These two options are shown below. If you’re building a new home or undertaking a major renovation, an energy rating report will specify the glass type that you will need.
Our pivot doors use high performance architectural grade pivot mechanism for durability and reliability. Using both top mounted or bottom mounted pivots, our doors can support up to 300kg of weight. This means we can fabricate a huge glass pivot door to suit your individual needs. Various pivot mechanisms are used to suit your door's unique dimensions and weight.
When it comes to pivot doors, correct and thorough installation is vital for the door to correctly function. Typically, the pivot door installation costs will be bundled into your quote to be completed by our professional team.
Our Pivot Doors come with a range of warranties:
- Nuline offers back-to-back warranties with all our trusted suppliers. These range in timeframe depending on product type.
- Nuline’s workmanship warranty is 12 months following works.
- Despite these warranty periods, if any product is not functioning in the way it is intended – let us know! We are happy to come out to assess any issues or concerns, arrange service calls, repairs, and general assistance.

Contemporary Openings
Because every pivot door is custom manufactured in our Melbourne factory, we can tailor the design to suit your space — whether as a standalone feature, paired with sidelights, or extended to full ceiling height for a dramatic entrance. Doors can be configured to open inwards, outwards, or in both directions for complete design flexibility.
In order to restrict the opening direction, a plant or doorstop is installed for the door to close against. Pivot point placement will depend on the dimensions of the door and is placed in such a way that it can handle and support the weight and function of the door correctly and safely.
With cleaner lines, pivot doors add character to the modern aesthetic of any project – residential home or a commercial building.
