SLIDING DOOR INFORMATION
Like the look and want to know more? The following is a simple explanation of the various options and components that make up our sliding door and stacker door.
Shown below are some examples of our most commonly requested configurations. Our designs are quite diverse so if your configuration isn’t shown just ask and we’ll be able to help, we can actually make up to four panels stacking in each direction.
We can make sliding and stackable doors in Melbourne that are 3+ meters high and 10+ meters wide because they’re specifically designed for large expanses. As such, there is no real recommended width or height it’s more weight and site access dependant. We’re experts at doing huge glass panels so don’t be afraid to go big. Going big means less aluminium obstructing the view and more daylight coming through.
We offer customers a huge range of Dulux, Colourbond and Interpon powder coat colours as well as anodised metal. Our Dulux colour chart, which encompasses most Colourbond colours, can be downloaded on the left. Our standard range is the Duralloy range, but on request we can also do the Precious, RapidCure, Duratec and other colours.
If you would like us to order you a free sample card please just contact us so we can arrange it for you.
As standard all our commercial sliding doors come with a commercial stainless steel Zanda Verve flush pull handle (shown on the left). This handle sits flush inside our frame, which gives the frames a sleek upmarket look and feel. We also offer a range of larger pull handles with different shapes. Shown to the right is our Hafele stainless steel type pull handle. All pull type handles come with a single action hook lock with snib inside and key outside (only the cylinder is visible on the frame surface).
Of course, we also offer a range of traditional sliding door handles as shown below. As standard they come in sliver, black and pearl white, however, other colours may be sourced.
Really it’s a case of tell us what type of glass you want and we’ll be able to do it. We can do single glazed glass, double glazed glass, low E performance glass and all kinds of tints, patterns and translucent glass.
In the majority of stacker glass doors in Melbourne, our clients usually opt for either clear single laminated or double glazed toughened safety glass. These types of glass are shown below.
In most cases, our sliding glass doors in Melbourne either utilise a double track for normal sliding doors (XO) or triple track for stackable sliding doors (XXO). Shown below are a few common sills we use that serve different functions. Our sills can be made flush with the floor if required. Please note that these are only some of the sill sections available and that some sill sections require subsills underneath for proper drainage.
Sill section samples can be obtained from our showroom so you can see exactly how our sliding and stackable doors in Melbourne will sit in your opening.
BOTTOM ROLLING HARDWARE
Our commercial sliding doors are powered by heavy-duty bottom rolling adjustable self-aligning ball bearing rollers for smooth, trouble free operation. What makes these rollers so great is that the wheel holders not only lean against each other, but also allow the rollers to slide against each other and consequently enable uniform distribution of load. We will select the correct roller for your frame based on its weight. As previously mentioned, our stacker glass doors in Melbourne can be enormous that’s why our rollers are designed to carry panels up to 300kg.
There are a number of flyscreens that fit our stackable doors in Melbourne. The most popular flyscreens we supply are Centor, Freedom and Phantom retractable flyscreens and Brio and Ultrascreen pleated screens. We also do traditional flyscreens for normal sliding doors. If you’re not sure if you want a flyscreen don’t worry, they can be fitted at a later date. Below is a video of the Centor and Freedom retractable screen in action.
