At Nu-Line Windows we only manufacture commercial aluminium windows and doors which allow us to build our products very big. Because we need to comply with AS1288-2006, which is the code for all things glass related, we often need to use thicker glass for our large windows and doors. This means the table below, which describes maximum areas for safety glass (for fully framed windows and doors), is something that we need to refer to often. Note though that when it comes to toughened glass we often opt to go one step above the code to ensure that glass roller wave is kept to a minimum. More on this phenomenon in another blog.
